Bastrop-Travis Counties ESD No. 1 has immediate openings for full-time Lieutenant. BTCESD#1 covers Elgin, McDade, and a portion of Eastern Travis County.
Purpose:
The Lieutenant serves the community by responding to a wide variety of situations, ranging from emergencies that immediately threaten life or property to routine citizen requests for information or assistance . They perform within the scope of the policies and procedures of Bastrop/Travis Counties ESD 1. Individuals fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of a Lieutenant will at all-times present themselves in a courteous, professional, and responsible manner. The Lieutenant utilizes the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the tasks identified within the job description and performs select assigned administrative functions. Primarily, the Lieutenant will provide functional supervision of their assigned Apparatus Operator, and Firefighters. The Lieutenant also performs work on assigned projects under the direction of the Battalion Chief and Fire Chief.
