Salary range for this position is $87,467 - $126,819, and the anticipated hiring range up to $101,600 depending on qualifications.

Tri-Com Central Dispatch is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Director.
Tri-Com is a consolidated 9-1-1 center, providing police and fire dispatch services to first responders serving St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Elburn, and Sugar Grove; South Elgin Police, North Aurora Fire and Waubonsee Community College Police. The center is staffed by 27 full-time employees and serving a population of 150,000 residents.
The Deputy Director works under the direction of the Executive Director and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operation of the center, and focuses on staffing, performance, quality assurance, and conduct of employees. The Deputy Director supervises the Training Coordinator, 4 shift supervisors and 17 dispatchers.
Candidates must possess excellent leadership, management, interpersonal and communications skills.
Candidates must have knowledge of and possess the ability to perform all essential job tasks and responsibilities of an emergency telecommunicator, including use of the following critical systems: E9-1-1 phone system, radio system, Computer Aided Dispatch and related public safety communications technology.
Preferred candidates will have knowledge of police and fire operations, and experience with quality assurance in a dispatching environment.
