DEPUTY CHIEF OF POLICE

Harper College is currently seeking an experienced Deputy Chief of Police.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation and general supervision of delegated functions of the Harper College Police Department. These functions include, but are not limited to coordination, direction and supervision of police personnel assigned to Patrol Operations and Communications, training officer, court liaison, parking ticket appeals and other duties as delegated by the Harper College Chief of Police.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent experience required. Master's Degree preferred.
• Prefer above with graduation from FBI'S National Academy, Southern Police Institute the FBI National Academy, Southern Police Institute Administrative Officers Course, or Northwestern University's Staff and Command School.
• A minimum of ten years' law enforcement experience to include at least five years of significant supervisory level experience.
