Position Details

The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fire Lieutenant - Logistics to manage Fire Rescue logistics functions, including department supply inventory and administration of the SCBA, hose, structural PPE, medical supplies, and related equipment programs, budgets, and compliance requirements.

What You Will Do

• Responds to fire, emergency medical, and other emergency situations and carries out firefighting activities 
• Responds to and supervises operations at emergency incidents and ensures proper command and accountability systems are used;
• Maintains and manages the SCBA, Hose, and Structural PPE programs and budgets;
• Administers all aspects of purchasing, inventory control, storage and distribution of consumable and non-consumable goods used by Fire Rescue; 
• Stocks, maintains, and issues medical supplies/protective equipment/uniforms/deliverable good/cleaning supplies to fire stations; maintains adequate inventory levels;

• High School diploma or equivalent and five years of related experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• IFSAC/NPQ Firefighter I & II
• Hazmat Operations certification
• Minimum National Registry of EMT 
• Program management experience preferred
• Inventory management and procurement experience preferred
• Experience creating and maintaining budgets preferred
