Position Details

The Village of Moweaqua is actively seeking candidates for the position of Chief of Police.

Minimum requirements of the position include:

• Ten (10) years of experience in the police arena, five years of which must have been equivalent to police sergeant or higher.
• Completion of the basic law enforcement training academy or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• A college degree is preferred.
• Applicants should live within a 10 mile radius of the Village of Moweaqua.
